November 2021 -Troy Murphy buys Stan’s Industrial and George retires at the age of 80. Troy is new to the wood business, but has business experience dating back 20 years. Troy is committed to keeping the tradition of Stan’s alive and going strong. Products will remain at the same high quality.
In 1954, Stanley Schmidt started Stan’s Industrial Woodworking. His son George worked beside him while he was growing up. They started making grade stakes and lath. In 1973, George took over the company and just recently retired.
George expanded from stakes and lath to wooden reels. He prides himself in quality wood products.
